Giovanni Di Luzio, PhD
Associate Professor, Politecnico Di Milano
Giovanni Di Luzio received his BS and MS Degree in Civil Engineering in October 1998 from Politecnico di Milano. After one year spent in the Italian military corps of engineers, in 2002 Di Luzio obtained his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering. In 2006 he joined the Department of Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2006 as assistant professor. He obtained the Italian qualification as associate professor in January 2015 and he joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in September 2016 as associate professor. In May 2019 he obtained the Italian qualification as full professor. Dr. Di Luzio has been teaching courses of structural design at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. His research is in the field of experimental, computational and applied mechanics of cementitious materials for Civil Engineering applications. Dr. Di Luzio is voting member of ACI technical committees (Committee 446, 209, and Subcommittee 209-0D), IA-FraMCoS, and EMI. He serves as secretary in the IA-ConCreep board of directors. Dr. Di Luzio is a reviewer for journals published by ACI, ASCE, ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, KCI, JSCE, ICE. He was speaker at numerous international conferences and workshops. He is the author of more than 50 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and international conference proceedings.
